Turkey looks for newly freed Kurdish militants

ANKARA, Turkey — A Turkish appeals court has issued an arrest warrant for 12 suspected Kurdish militants who have not reported to the police since their conditional release last week.
Turkish media report that some of the group, including senior members of a radical Islamic group, Turkish Hizbullah, have disappeared in the country's southeast.
The Anatolia news agency on Friday said police could not find nine convicted Hizbullah militants and three others from the rival Kurdish rebel group PKK despite raids on their homes.
The 12 were freed in compliance with a new law restricting the amount of time suspects can be held while awaiting the final verdict in their cases.
