Turkey's Erdogan says not appropriate to arm Libyan rebels

LONDON - Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday he did not support the idea of arming Libyan rebels fighting to oust Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi from power.
"Doing that would create a different situation in Libya and we do not find it appropriate to do that," Erdogan told reporters at a joint press conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron in London.
