Two New York firefighters shot dead in ambush

A lone gunman shot dead two volunteer firefighters and injured two others when he ambushed them at the scene of an early Monday morning housefire in a suburb of Rochester, New York.
Authorities say the shooter, William Spengler, set the fire and lied in wait for the first responders.
The gunman, who also died, opened fire around 5:45 a.m. as firefighters responded to reports of a house blaze.
