After years of having to look for it in specific stores, the American RITZ cracker is now arriving for regular sale in Israel. This oven-baked cracker contains no preservatives or food coloring and has a melt-in-your-mouth texture. We tasted it, and it really is different – light, delicate, and works great with hummus and cheeses. The texture is genuinely interesting and sets it apart from common crackers. | Price: NIS 8–12.
Rikuchet introduces a hard polypropylene trolley suitcase with an impressive specification list: An aluminum telescopic handle, four double wheels, an expansion zipper, a TSA lock, and yellow lining for easy identification of the contents. In addition, the suitcase is comfortable to use and looks luxurious. If you are looking for a high-quality suitcase with all the extras that can withstand many flights, this is a good option. The only downside is the high price. | Price: NIS 450 (NIS 360 for club members).
Barilla is launching a limited-edition set that includes two packs of penne pasta and a retro-style designed metal tin for storage. The idea is cute, especially for those who like storage containers and retro kitchen design. The price is roughly the same as two regular packs of pasta, so the tin is essentially free. | Price: NIS 15.90–24.90.
Danone is expanding its MULTI series with a berry flavor with no added white sugar or sweeteners. The yogurt is low-lactose and enriched with protein, iron, vitamin D, calcium, zinc, and magnesium. This is a good yogurt for anyone looking for a more nutritious breakfast option. The taste is good and slightly sweet, and the texture is excellent. | Price: NIS 3.50–6.90.
Eden Fines’s FIFI haircare brand is expanding with a new styling series that includes five products: A double-sided clay stick with a smoothing brush, strong sculpting wax, clay with castor oil, jojoba gel, and soft clay cream. The concept is that all products are enriched with natural oils such as coconut, argan, and jojoba, so styling does not come at the expense of hair health. The star of the series is the double-sided stick – clay on one side and a brush for taming flyaways on the other. A very convenient product that can easily be tossed into a bag. A comprehensive series offering a variety of styling tools, with good quality and Israeli manufacturing. | Price: NIS 27.90–79.90.
Achla by Strauss is launching a series that tries to solve a problem we all know: Hummus containers with toppings that mostly contain hummus and just a tiny bit of the topping. The new “Hummus with Lots of Toppings” series promises a generous layer of toppings – spicy eggplant or hot matbucha. The idea is that every bite includes a real portion of the combination, not just decorative garnish. Achla delivers on the promise, with plenty of topping indeed. In terms of flavor, we especially liked the spicy matbucha. | Price: NIS 10.80–16.90.
Tivall offers a crunchy corn schnitzel in an especially thin and crispy version. There is also a spicy version for those who like extra seasoning. The company invested two years in development, and it is mainly noticeable in the texture – the schnitzel is indeed thinner and crispier than the original version, without the familiar fluffiness. The sweet corn flavor remains. It is a nice upgrade to an existing product, but let’s not exaggerate – in the end, it is still a corn schnitzel, just with a different thickness. Good for crunch lovers. | Price: NIS 28.90–44.90.
Agnus is launching a wide silicone lifting spoon that is also meant to function as a strainer. The idea is to lift pasta, vegetables, or legumes directly from the hot pot and drain the water through the holes in the spoon. The spoon works well for small portions and quick draining of vegetables, but if you are emptying a full pot of pasta, you may still prefer a standard colander. | Price: NIS 59.90.
