Earlier in the night, an IDF vehicle was damaged after shots were fired toward Israeli forces on Highway 60 near Kiryat Arba.

Two young men were arrested and eight were injured.

Palestinian sources said a general strike was declared in the camp and Nablus to mourn the death of the three Palestinians.

It was the second victory by a Hamas-affiliated group in student elections at a Palestinian West Bank university since last May.

The visit, which was the largest since before the coronavirus pandemic, was held one year after Palestinians torched the shrine.
