Northern District police arrested 70 Palestinians who were residing in Israel illegally overnight on Thursday.

Police said 67 of them will be sent back to the Palestinian Territories and the others will be taken before the court for a remand hearing.

The raid comes days after Israeli soldier Eden Atias, 19, was stabbed to death on a bus by a 16-year-old Palestinian boy who illegally entered Israel.
