Carter says he will deliver new letter from Schalit

In an interview with al-Jazeera on Friday, former US president Jimmy Carter revealed that he Hamas had agreed to allow him to transfer a letter from captive soldier Gilad Schalit to his family.The former president said that senior Hamas man Khaled Mashaal agreed to transfer the letter when the two last met.Carter told al-Jazeera that he has previously delivered letters between Schalit's family in Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, to be passed to the soldier.
