EU concerned about Iran's nuclear activities

VIENNA — The European Union says it shares U.N. fears that Teheran may be secretly working on developing nuclear weapons.
A strongly worded EU statement to a 35-nation meeting also says that Europe supports new UN Security Council "action" if Iran continues its nuclear defiance — diplomatic language for a fourth set of UN sanctions.
The EU statement was delivered Wednesday to a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency board. Iran — and fears that it may be trying to develop nuclear arms — are the main focus of the gathering.
