Vandals punctured the tires of eight vehicles belonging to Arab residents of the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat overnight Saturday in a suspected "price tag" attack.Police said the vandals also sprayed the words "price tag Gaza" on one of the vehicles. Israel on Thursday night reached cease-fire understandings with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, effectively ending the eight-day IDF Operation Pillar of Defense.Authorities opened an investigation into the incident. The attack in Shuafat was the second of the month. On November 4, vandals sprayed a number of nationalist slogans on vehicles in the city. These included “Death to the enemy,” “Freedom for the homeland” and hakipot hasrugot – “the knitted skullcaps” – a reference not only to the national-religious movement, but also apparently to a fledgling outpost that was evacuated last month. The words "tag mahir" – price tag – has become affiliated with the extreme fringe of the settlement movement.Ilene Prusher contributed to this report
