A senior member of the Blue and White party reportedly called for the cancellation of the rotation agreement between Yair Lapid and Benny Gantz, Arutz Sheva news stated. "If we want to ensure victory in the elections, Lapid must give up the rotation," the source told Arutz Sheva. "The cancellation of the rotation will bring two to three mandates for Blue and White," the source added.
Gantz has proven more high profile in this election season than Lapid, head of the Yesh Atid party who joined with his Blue and White co-chair to form a faction rivaling incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the polls. Their agreement would see each one serving as Prime Minister for two years during the four-year term. But a poll released yesterday indicated the faction would get more votes if Gantz was the sole leader with Lapid bumped down to umber two on the list.
