"If people want to flirt with Iran, they should take a look what the consequences might be for them," said US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday, urging Latin American countries to "think twice" before developing a warm relationship with Teheran.
Clinton mentioned the left-wing government of Bolivia and that of Venezuela, whose leader Hugo Chavez has repeatedly boasted his close ties with Iranian President
The US secretary of state expressed hope that Latin American powers would recognize that Iran "is a major supporter, promoter and exporter of terrorism in the world today."
