Hapoel Tel Aviv owner to sell club after recent violence

Hapoel Tel Aviv owner Eli Tabib said on Saturday that he has put the club up for sale following the recent violence, although it seems unlikely he made his decision solely due to Friday's brawl.
Hapoel fans have held numerous protests against Tabib in recent months, urging him to leave by picketing outside his home and the shops of his designer wife Dana Ashkenazi and even harassing him in Miami, where he spends much of his time on business.
"I love soccer and I bought Hapoel with the goal of leading this illustrious club forward," he said. "I had many plans and already began preparing next season, but the serious incidents that have been going on for a while don't allow me to continue and invest in the team.
"I've had enough of the violence. I'm not willing to danger the well being of my family."
