Meretz calls on MKs to act against domestic violence

Meretz leader Zahava Gal-On called on the Ministers of Justice and Internal Security on Sunday to implement a strict policy against the men who violate restraining orders.
Speaking at a rally to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in Rabin Square, Tel Aviv, Gal-On said that the police cannot guard each house individually, and therefore "men are taking advantage of this by violating restraining orders and murdering their partners."
Gal-on added: "The state must let it be known that violent men will immediately be removed from society, and that they will not be able to hurt women and get away with it."
