Mofaz: More decisive IDF attacks against terror needed

MK Shaul Mofaz (Kadima), chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, emphasized the need on Wednesday to act vigorously to destroy terror cells in the Gaza Strip. "We need to target them in a more decisive way that will deter them [from future attacks]," Mofaz said.The chairman's comments come after the Israel Air Force, working with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), launched two missile attacks against terrorist groups in Gaza Tuesday night, killing at least three. The attack came in retaliation for two short-range rockets fired into Israel by Palestinians on Sunday and Monday.Mofaz said he approved of IDF military action on Tuesday night, but asserted that there needs to be more comprehensive operations carried out against the leadership of terrorist groups attacking Israel.
