Steinitz visits Egypt, first Israeli Minister since Arab Spring

Minister of National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Resources Yuval Steinitz visited Egypt on Monday, being the first formal visit for any Israeli minister in Egypt since the Arab Spring riots in 2011.
Steinitz met with the Egyptian Energy Minister, Tarek El Molla, and participated in the first Ministerial meeting for the East Mediterranean Gas Forum.
Steinitz was invited to visit Egypt again on May, for the announcement of the establishment of the Mediterranean Natural Gas Organization, featuring Israel, Egypt, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority.
