The Kiryat Malachi police announced Wednesday that they would investigate racist actions against the city's population of Israelis of Ethiopian descent.

The announcement, made by the Lachish district police spokesperson, came following a Channel 2 news report that detailed the refusal of one neighborhood to allow the selling or renting of property to Ethiopian Israelis.

MK Shlomo Molla (Kadima) Wednesday called for Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to open a criminal investigation following the report, which he said displayed "evilness and hatred shown towards Ethiopian Israelis."
