Lithuania opens commercial representation in Israel

Lithuania’s Ministry of Economy announced the appointment of its first commercial attaché to Israel Monday. The attaché will focus on promoting bilateral trade, attracting investments, promoting Lithuania as an attractive tourism destination, and representing the Lithuanian economy.
Bilateral trade between the two countries increased 60 percent in 2011, and the number of Israeli tourists traveling to Lithuania increased by 62%. Direct flights will begin to operate between Tel Aviv and Vilnius on June 20.
