IMF board briefed on Strauss-Kahn charges

WASHINGTON - The IMF executive board was briefed on criminal charges against managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn on Monday and will monitor developments in the case, the fund said in a statement.
"The IMF and its Executive Board will continue to monitor developments," IMF spokeswoman Caroline Atkinson said in a statement. The "verbal" briefing was given by IMF Acting Managing Director John Lipsky and IMF General Counsel Sean Hagan.
