Car accident

A preliminary investigation has indicated that the crash occurred because one of the cars made a U-turn on an unlit section of the road, ultimately colliding with another car.

The highway was blocked from the Latrun interchange eastward by police as emergency services officials tended to involved passengers.

Israel Police say the incident was likely a car accident and not an attack.

One of the injured is a three-year-old child, who was hit by a car.

Security footage showed the car appear to slow down, before gaining speed and slamming into the baby carriage.

The crash occurred only a half mile from campus, sending shockwaves through the Brandeis community.
