The High Court of Justice ruled in 2018 that the structures in Khan al-Ahmar could be razed but this never ended up happening.

Lapid's office asked the court for an extension until February 1, 2023 to submit any plans regarding the fate of the community of some 180 members of the Abu Dahuk clan of the Jahalin tribe.
The request to order the evacuation comes after the state failed to submit a relocation plan for the illegally-built Bedouin herding community.
The United States, along with the international community, has opposed both of those plans as they do all instances of Palestinian evictions and settler housing plans.
