33rd, 34th swine flu victims: 65-year-old man, one-year-old girl

Two H1N1 deaths

A one-year-old infant and a middle-aged man died from the H1N1 influenza on Sunday. They were listed as the 33rd and 34th Israeli victims of the virus, even though their deaths were not proven to be linked to the H1N1 strain. The baby was born prematurely and had serious problems as a result. She was in a nursing institution before being moved to Dana Children's Hospital at Tel Aviv's Sourasky Medical Center, where she died. The 64-year-old man, who suffered from serious chronic illness before being infected, died at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. Some 4,300 Israelis are known to have been infected with the virus and nine are currently in intensive care units.
