IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz spoke at the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Western Wall on Sunday evening, beginning with the powerful lyrics from the song, HaKotel, which describe a mother dressed in mourning black who refuses to pray, because she has already given the Kotel her greatest treasure, her son."As I stand here tonight and think about that mother dressed in black, I see many mothers here dressed in black...and I appreciate your losses and all that you have given," Gantz said."You have tied your souls indefinitely to the fate our country, and as I stand here before you, representing the IDF, I promise you that our army will continue to serve Israel in their name," he continued.
