Haifa hospitals overwhelmed

Emergency rooms in Haifa's three hospitals - Carmel Government Hospital, Bnai Zion Hospital and Rambam Hospital - were overwhelmed Monday night, Army Radio reported.
Carmel Government Hospital's emergency room was at 250 percent capacity, leaving a 6-hour wait for incoming patients to see a doctor.
The Ministry of Health urged people to postpone their hospital visits, if possible, until morning, while Magen David Adom evacuated patients to medical facilities in nearby Nahariya and Afula.
