High Court: State must explain lack of haredi testing

The High Court of Justice on Sunday issued an order requiring the state to explain why the schools in the haredi (ultra-Orthodox) education system have not started  standardized testing.
Following a petition filed by the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism in 2010, the High Court previously issued a conditional order to advance the issue of standardized testing in the haredi education system. The order required a progress report from the Ministry of Education within 90 days. According to the newest court order, the Ministry of Education has not complied with the previous order.
