Uzi Landau: I want to stay energy minister

When the next government is established, Energy and Water Minister Uzi Landau said he would request to remain in his current position, the minister announced at the Fifth Jerusalem Environment and Nature Conference on Sunday. In order to allow for Israelis to enjoy the country’s resources while minimizing environmental and safety risks, Landau said that his office continues to create policies and regulate infrastructure strategically.
“I support the demand to assigned to the Environmental Protection Ministry all the standards and budgets designed to take care of disaster prevention; I will fight for this together with the Environmental Protection Minister,” Landau said. “However, we must not delay and place unreasonable obstacles on the entrepreneurs who are working to bring gas and oil."
