Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz wants to see Israel become part of a regional hub supplying Turkey and Europe with natural gas.
Steinitz focused largely on natural gas for its export potential, saying that, when taking into account how much natural gas may be in Israeli waters, “it must be exported to Europe, too.”
The minister was in Israel along with a delegation of 50 Italian academics for Italian National Day, held annually on June 2.
