IDF: Int'l contacts made seeking Gaza ceasefire

Israel is in contact with international actors in an attempt to bring about a ceasefire after a deadly weekend of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesman's Office said Sunday morning. In addition, IDF Chief of General-Staff Benny Gantz was in the South for a situational briefing.
One Israeli was killed and several injured from rocket fire from the Strip over the weekend. Eleven rockets were fired into Israel Sunday morning and nearly 40 were launched in the past 24 hours.
The IDF carried out six air strikes in the Gaza Strip overnight Saturday, hitting rocket launch sites and tunnels. Nine Palestinian terrorists were killed in the strikes.
