MK Oren Hazan questioned by police for alleged attack on Ariel mayor

Likud MK Oren Hazan was questioned by police at the LAHAV 433 headquarters in Lod on Sunday, following a probe ordered by Attorney- General Yehuda Weinstein in June into allegations that he attacked Ariel Mayor Eliyahu Shaviro in 2014 before Hazan became a parliamentarian.
Police said Sunday that at no point during the investigation was Hazan arrested or detained, rather that he was questioned and released without conditions.
The allegation is one of a series of controversies involving the first-time parliamentarian, most notably a report from Ch. 2 in June that while managing a casino in Burgas, Bulgaria, Hazan would procure prostitutes and crystal meth for Israeli tourists.
Hazan has denied the allegations.
